General Womens Meeting

I went to this great meeting with my Grandma, Aunt and Cousin. It was a great meeting. We need to have more charity and have the spirit in our lives and then act on what the spirit is trying to guide us to what we are suppose to do. The Relief Society is a way of helping others and showing to the Lord that we are his servants Pres. Eyring also spoke he gave an excellent talk. We all need to be more Christ like and give more love to our family and the people that our in our wards.

Three Cups of Tea for September

I got my reading done. I love when I read good books. I actually read Three Cups of Tea before I read the Glass Castle. I think that is why I think that I need to do something. I just love books that have a super great message this man was lost but he was trying to do something great and instead something even greater. I love brave and honest and strong people. What a difference he is making in these people lives. What an inspiration he is to all of us. I think my favorite part is when they tell him about the three cups of tea. Are we all like this does it take three cups of tea to trust someone and let them be part of our lives. I liked the way this was written. What a great message. So if you want to read another great book this one would be a good one to pick up.

The Glass Castle.

This book was last month what I was to read. I could not find it from the Lib. So I just waited until this week when sweet L let me borrow her copy I read it in a week. I could not believe how many trials this woman and her family went through. It has really made me stop and think about life and how I treat others and see the world. I am so glad that she was able to pull herself out of the situations and overcome by the ways of which she was raised. I wonder about people in my own community and the children that my children go to school with. What can I do to help more or teach my children to be more compassionate towards other people. I love when I read a book that makes me think and think. I liked the writing style. I learned that I need to be more grateful for the things I have and the great family to which I belong to. I am also so grateful to be a member of the church.

We are all huge fan of Monk. So it was fitting we stayed at Monk's Hollow.

Put 12 people together and what do you have a lot of fun. We had a great time on our family camp out. My Sister Sarah thought this would be a could way to stay together. We have been doing this for 5 years and have seen some beautiful sites. It has been quite the adventure. This year we went up Spanish Fork Canyon to Diamond Fork Campground. This is on your way to Price. A road that I have passed many times. But never bothered to go. So this was a neat and new place to go. We had rain and sun and rain and sun again and again. The one sad thing was that our zipper on our tent broke the last night we were there. We went on a great hike up to hot springs. That were just beautiful it was great to be bye a stream. We had a great time we missed the Wagners being there and of course Uncle Matt. But we had a good time talking about them and how much we love being a family. Callie if you want to know more you are going to have to call.
